Congratulations. To Korrie Meisner a first year student at NSCC Akerley Campus (2008) who was the reception of the first CRANS scholarship award. Shown in the picture is Brian Slaunwhite president of the Collision Repair Association of Nova Scotia presenting Korrie with a cheque for his achievements.
The award was made available to all first year students in the Auto Collision Repair Program attending any of the N.S.C.C.
COMPULSORY CERTIFICATION MOVING FORWARD in NOVA SCOTIA.

Compulsory Certification for the Motor Vehicle Body Repair trade seems to be well on the way of becoming a reality in Nova Scotia in 2009. The application and revised trade regulation have now passed all the hurtles in apprenticeship, as well as several other committees that must approve it, just to make sure all the T’s are crossed and all the are I’s are dotted. It is now in the hands of the Minister of Labor and Workforce Development, Mark Parent who will present the application and regulations to cabinet for final approval.
