WHERE DOES YOUR MONEY GO?

  • Skills Canada & Nova Scotia – We financially support the Provincial and National Skills events by sponsoring a provincial participant.
  • Promoting Skills Upgrading in Rural Nova Scotia - Networking with training providers such as the Nova Scotia Community College, CARS and the Automotive Trades Association. These educators are using information provided by I-CAR and are delivering high quality skills and upgrading in urban and rural Nova Scotia.
  • Apprenticeship Training – We are involved through working groups reviewing the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualifications Act and General Regulations. We are also involved in Compulsory Certification of the Collision industry in Nova Scotia.
  • CCIF (Canadian Collision Industry Forum) – At times we support a representative to attend and have input into the CCIF meetings in Canada.
  • Networking - in other associations such as: CARS, NATA, Insurance Crime Prevention Bureau and Human Resource Sector Council.
  • Annual meeting -CRANS along with the Automotive Trades Association of Atlantic Canada Members plan an annual conference held in May.
  • Committees & Meetings – CRANS members, sponsors and supporters provide information to industry regarding concerns such as, the rising costs of material, new regulations, attracting and retaining employees, compulsory certification and more.
