Congratulations.

Congratulations to Blair Longmire who recently competed in two skills testing competition. On April 29th, 2010. Blair competed with other students and apprentice at Akerley Campus in the Provincial Skills Competition. Winning that competition in Auto Body Repairs. This qualified Blair to compete in the National Skills Competition held in Waterloo Ontario, on May 20-24 rd . Blair made a good showing but did not qualify to compete in the National Skills Competition in London England. October 2011.

 

Blair grew up in Hillsburne, Annapolis County. Hillsburne is small fishing village on the shores of the Bay of Fundy, where his family is involved with the fishing industry. Blair attended Annapolis West Education Center where he managed to graduate. In 2007/08 enrolled in the Automotive Mechanical program at Kingstec. This not being his first love he returned to Kingstec in the fall of 2008 and enrolled in the Motor Vehicle Auto Body Repair and Paint program. Successfully completing this program and graduated in 2010.  During his years at Community Collage, Blair completed work experience at several collision shop through the valley area. Blair is now employed at Raymond Britton’s Auto Body where he is working to become a Red Seal Qualified Technician.

Blair’s goals include becoming a great heavy collision technician and someday owning his own shop. With goals like these and a great attitude, Blair will have a good future in the collision industry.
